February 19, 2019. Well, I did it. I bought a fabric printer. For the quilts that I make, I like to sew a label into the backing before I quilt it. And until now, I’ve used printable fabric sheets in my inkjet printer to make the labels. Each label has been a frustrating disappointment—rubbery or thick texture and they seem to behave like color catchers in the laundry. Finally, I now have the ability to print my labels on plain cotton fabric. And I’m delighted to be offering this service to you!
Lily Street Quilts is offering a printing service for Quilt Labels. Your uploaded label image is printed on Kona® Quilting Cotton – Snow white. The labels are soft, untreated and ready to sew into or onto your backing. Is a photo quilt in your future? Any JPG or PNG image within the upload parameters can be printed. The maximums are: 650 x 850 pixels, 2 megabytes.
Each label is $15. Sales tax for CA residents and shipping charges for all US residents are included in the price. If you live outside the USA, please email me for the price.
